7. James FERSON was born in 1742 in Londonderry, NH. The Ferson family study (1996) reports:

James (and his brother John) served in the Revolutionary War. He served in Stark's 1st New Hampshire Regiment, made up of Goffstown men. They moved through Bradford to Charlestown, Old #4.

He entered the service on 4/24/1775. He served 3 months, 15 days in Capt. John Moore's Company. He apparently served again in Capt. McLaughlin's Company in the fall of 1775

He died on 20 Feb 1812 in Bradford, NH. He was buried in Old Pond Cemetery, between Bradford and Henniker.

James FERSON and Katherine MCDOEL were married on 12 Jun 1776 in Litchfield, NH. Katherine MCDOEL (daughter of William MCDOEL and Rosanna) was born on 14 Apr 1755 in Goffstown, NH. She died on 1 Oct 1821 in Bradford, NH. She was buried in Old Pond Cemetery, between Bradford and Henniker. James FERSON and Katherine MCDOEL had the following children:

Robert FERSON was born in 1793 in Dunbarton, NH. He died on 24 Mar 1816. He was buried in Old Pond Cemetery, between Bradford and Henniker.
